The first official photos from the backdoor pilot of Green Arrow and The Canaries are here.
While Stephen Amell’s Arrow will soon come to an end after eight seasons, the universe the series launched will continue with a spin-off titled Green Arrow and The Canaries. The series will center on Katherine McNamara’s Mia as she takes on the Green Arrow mantle and fights alongside Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake.
Green Arrow and The Canaries is set to launch with a backdoor pilot episode airing as the penultimate episode of Arrow and now The CW has dropped the first official photos from the upcoming entry. The photos feature the titular heroines of Green Arrow and The Canaries in full costume after Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake re-enter Mia’s life in the year 2040.

The Green Arrow and The Canaries backdoor pilot airs on January 21, 2020, and you can read the official synopsis below:
“It’s the year 2040 in Star City and Mia Queen (McNamara) has everything she could have ever wanted. However, when Laurel (Cassidy) and Dinah (Harkavy) suddenly show up in her life again, things take a shocking turn and her perfect world is upended. Laurel and Dinah are tracking a kidnapping victim with direct ties to Mia and they need her help. Knowing it will change everything, Mia can’t help but be a hero and she, Laurel and Dinah suit up once again to save the city.”

DC Universe Debuts ‘Doom Patrol’ Character Posters
Along with the premiere of the first teaser for Doom Patrol, DC Universe also debuted a collection of character posters for each of the members of perhaps the strangest team of characters to be adapted in live-action form for DC Comics.
In particular, these new character posters highlight Timothy Dalton's The Chief, Diane Guerrero's Crazy Jane, Joivan Wade's Cyborg, April Bowlby's Elasti-Woman, Matt Bomer's Negative Man and Brendan Fraser's Robotman. These posters each follow unique designs that reflect the nature of each character and tease unique personalities amongst the group as well.
