‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’: James Gunn Says “Look For Clues” To…

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' director James Gunn tells fans to look for clues to the identity of the character played by Sylvester Stallone.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will reunite audiences with their favorite band of unlikely heroes, but it will also introduce fans to a number of new characters as well. One of the most anticipated new roles has been the character played by Sylvester Stallone, whose identity has lead to months of speculation by fans over the past few months. In an interview with Yahoo, director James Gunn discussed his experience working with the action icon and offered fans some advice on how to figure out the identity of Stallone’s character.

Gunn would not reveal the identity of Stallone’s character, but did tells fans how can they figure out which role the actor will be playing.

“I think will people find out very, very soon. Look for clues and you will find out the character Sylvester Stallone plays. He is fantastic in the movie. It’s a very important part of the Marvel cosmic universe.”

Gunn also discussed his experience working with Stallone and Kurt Russell.

“When I was a little kid I ran around the backyard pretending I was Snake Plissken or Johnny Rambo. Now I’m working with Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone who were icons to me as a child. I worked with Kurt for 80 days, now he’s ‘Kurt.’ But Sly, we worked for a few days on set… The guy cracks me up. He’s a very, very funny guy and we have a good time together.”

The popular theory among fans is that Stallone will be playing a member of either the Nova Corps or Yondu’s crew, though the fact that there are apparently clues out there to the character’s identity could add a new name to the list of potential roles.
