It seems as though James Gunn is bringing over some of his Guardians of the Galaxy crew over to the brand-new DC Universe. Pom Klementieff, who played Mantis in the films, teases her new role at DC Studios is filled with action.
It’s no secret that James Gunn, like many directors, has actors he likes to work with. Both Nathan Fillion and Michael Rooker have almost become synonymous with Gunn himself. This means it came as no shock to anyone that Gunn would be bringing in Guardians of the Galaxy star Pom Klementieff over to DC studios. While no word has been released on what character she would play, Klementieff teased during an interview for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One that her DC Universe role would be filled with action:
“I’m not going to tell you which character. We’ve been talking about it, one specific character that [James] is thinking of,” Klementieff told The Movie Dweeb. “And I think it would be really, really awesome. It would continue [me] doing action too, so it’s exciting.”
Many fans have been campaigning for Pom Klementieff to play Mercy Graves, Lex Luthor’s iconic assistant, in Superman: Legacy. While that would be a role with plenty of action, it’s not likely James Gunn would play the casting that safe. Whatever Klementieff’s role in the DC Universe ends up being, fans can rest assured that they’ll be seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy star shine once again.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 synopsis reads as follows: “Our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere, but it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past.
