In less than a week, Star-Lord and the rest of the Guaridans will take their final ride in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. With early reviews starting to come in, Marvel’s latest is shaping up to be Certified Fresh.
Guardians of the Galaxy has always been a well-respected series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with fans and critics alike praising its refreshing weirdness and deep heart at its core. No film in its series has ever gotten below an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, including the Holiday Special. This trend continues with Vol. 3 scoring an 80% on the site, according to a handful of early reviews. This puts the film just below Vol. 2, which scored an 85% with critics.
Early reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 on social media have been overwhelmingly positive, praising it as the perfect conclusion to an amazing franchise full of laughs and tears. With the film set to release next Friday, Marvel fans won’t have to wait long to judge for themselves and experience one last adventure with the Guardians, at least for the time being.
What to expect from the third Guadians movie
The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 synopsis reads as follows: “Our beloved band of misfits are settling into life on Knowhere, but it isn’t long before their lives are upended by the echoes of Rocket’s turbulent past. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him on a dangerous mission to save Rocket’s life – a mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”
