Is Pepper Potts finally making her return to the MCU? Gwyneth Paltrow suggests that she may be making an appearance in an upcoming installment of the franchise.
When people think about the “faces” of the MCU, they likely go to some of the major leading men of the franchise: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and even Tom Holland. However, one of the longest running actors in the franchise doesn’t even play a superhero. That, of course, being Gwyneth Paltrow- who has made her return time and time again as Pepper Potts.
Yet with Iron Man now dead in the MCU, there’s been a lot of questions surrounding what the future holds for Pepper Potts in the franchise. Many believe that Gwyneth Paltrow may be officially retired from the franchise. Others think that she’s simply on the backburner, ready to be pulled in if needed for a small cameo alongside characters like Morgan Stark and Happy Hogan.
Is Gwyneth Paltrow Still In The MCU?
Some insight into this conundrum was seemingly revealed during a recent appearance that Gwyneth Paltrow made at Brown University’s Family Weekend. When doing a Q&A section at the end of a speech she was giving, the actress suggested that she may be making a return to the MCU as Pepper Potts, stating: ‘I might be in another Marvel movie’ (As recorded by the Brown Daily Herald)
If Gwyneth Paltrow is truly making her return t the MCU, there’s two major projects that she may appear in. The first is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, potentially making a small cameo reminding Peter Parker of the legacy of Tony Stark. However, much more likely is that Pepper Potts plays some sort of role in Avengers: Doomsday– especially given the leading villain will be played by Robert Downey Jr.
