Avengers: Endgame was one of the biggest moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it seems one of its stars, Gwyneth Paltrow, has yet to watch it.
At one time, all eyes were on the MCU with Avengers: Endgame, with the project being perhaps the most hyped single event in all of cinema history. At the time of its release, it seemed everyone watched the film at least once. Well… almost everyone. Gwyneth Paltrow, who played Pepper Potts in Endgame, still hasn’t seen the film, as she stopped watching Marvel projects a long time ago:
“To be honest, I stopped watching them at some point,” Paltrow revealed in during a recent appearance at the Red Sea Film Festival. “I’ve never seen Endgame. I can’t keep track of who’s what. But I probably should at some point.”
While it may come as a surprise to some fans, most actors don’t watch all of their films, especially ones where they have as minor of a role as Gwyneth Paltrow did in Avengers: Endgame. Though given she’s just about caught up to the MCU’s time jump as established in the film, it’s possible she was just waiting to watch the project in real-time!
The Future of the Avengers Franchise
Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is the first movie in a two-part finale to Marvel’s Multiverse Saga. It will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, rounding out Marvel Studios’ Phase 6. Both films are scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2025.
Destin Daniel Cretton recently made the decision to step down from his role as the director of the upcoming Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, Destin Daniel Cretton’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty departure is not an exit from the Marvel family but rather a realignment of his directorial commitments as he’s focused on Wonder Woman and Shang-Chi 2.
Secret Wars is a crossover event that will bring together characters from all across the Marvel multiverse, so Iron Man’s experience and leadership will be invaluable to the Avengers. Michael Waldron is set to write the upcoming Marvel Studios film Avengers: Secret Wars, but a director has yet to be announced.
