Is Halle Berry finally making her return in Avengers: Doomsday? One of the film’s stars teases that the actress may soon reprise her iconic role as Storm.
Fans have obviously been excited about the prospect of the original X-Men cast making their return in Avengers: Doomsday. However, as of the time of writing, not every character from those films are confirmed to appear. Perhaps the biggest omission is Storm, played by Halle Berry, who people have been begging to return to the role since long before the current Multiverse craze.
Of course, just because the actress wasn’t seen in the infamous chair video for Avengers: Doomsday doesn’t mean she’s not in the film. However, the odds of her return have certainly been looking dour over the last few months. Everyone asked about the prospect of a Storm return, including Halle Berry herself, have said that the odds simply aren’t likely.

However, recently a flare of hope was shot up by a key member of the Avengers: Doomsday cast. Alan Cumming, who is set to return as Nightcrawler in the film, recently teased that Halle Berry may still reprise her role as Storm. When asked about the prospect on ET Now, the actor simply stated “Well… maybe she does [return].”

Given there’s still over a year until Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters, it makes sense that Marvel would want to hide the reveal of some major actors until later down the line. One big theory is that the only characters revealed to return during the initial chair day were those who had some scenes filmed outside, and thus would be able to be spotted by paparazzi. Given Storm’s power set, it’s likely Halle Berry would’ve filmed all her scenes in a soundstage if she did return.
