According to a new rumor, Halloween director David Gordon Green is returning to direct back to back sequels but that’s not even the craziest part!

Bloody Disgusting reports David Gordon Green will return to direct two sequels to Halloween back-to-back. The writer did stress, however, that this was a rumor that he was, as of this writing, unable to confirm. So take this with a grain of salt. But given the success of David Gordon Green’s Halloween and the current world of cinematic universes, this idea may not be all that far fetched. But this, apparently, isn’t even the weirdest part.

The rumor states that the two David Gordon Green directed Halloween sequels will be released in the same month! While this part cannot be verified, this news comes from trusted sources from the writer. It could just be an idea that the filmmakers are developing but, if true, we could be looking at two David Gordon Green Halloween films in the fall of 2020!

The 2018 Halloween film jettisoned the canon of every entry in the franchise aside from the original and followed Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode decades after the events of the horror classic. The film grossed a worldwide total of $255 million against a budget of $10 million.

Here is a plot synopsis for David Gordon Green’s 2018 Halloween film:

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago

Directed by David Gordon Green from a script co-written by himself, Jeff Fradley and Danny McBride, the film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, and Nick Castle.

Halloween is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra-HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
