‘Harley Quinn’ Season 4 Trailer Turns The Insanity To The Max

More blood, more love!

Harley Quinn HBO Max Season 3 Marvel

A new trailer has been released for Harley Quinn season 4 set to debut next week on Max. The footage teases more insanity, more gore, and more Harlivy!

Harley Quinn has managed to buck the trend of superhero stories pushing away love interests by making the main character’s relationship with Poison Ivy the show’s main storyline. Season 4 is shaping up to be no different, focusing on the two trying to balance their new jobs with their love lives while trying not to lose themselves in the process. With, of course, plenty of murder and phallic jokes filling the space between that drama.

The full trailer for season 4 on Max can be seen below:

Choosing to make Harley Quinn in a full-on hero in season 4 is a bold move for a series with such a focus on murder and immorality being balanced against true love and friendship. However, it seems a perfect extension of her relationship with Poison Ivy (affectionately named Harlivy) that their moralities would come to blows. Harley’s face turn seems to just be a manifestation of this theme that’s likely to be explored once the new season drops on Max next week.

A New Harlivy Adventure!

Harley Quinn has seen the titular supervillain embark on a new romance with Poison Ivy, voiced by Lake Bell in the series. The two have become a power couple amongst the supervillains of Gotham, teaming up with Ron Funches’ King Shark, Alan Tudyk’s Clayface and JB Smoove’s Frank the Plant.

The animated Max series also features the voice talents of Kaley Cuoco as Dr. Harleen Quinzel / Harley Quinn, Diedrich Bader as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Alan Tudyk as Joker, Wanda Sykes, Natalie Morales, Jim Rash, Giancarlo Esposito, Jason Alexander, Tony Hale as Dr. Edgar Cizko / Doctor Psycho, Christopher Meloni as Commissioner James Gordon, Rahul Kohli as Dr. Jonathan Crane / Scarecrow, Sanaa Lathan as Catwoman, Alfred Molina as Mr. Freeze, Harvey Guillen as Dick Grayson / Nightwing.
