Justice League star Henry Cavill gets the Kingdom Come Superman look in a new concept design that imagines the actor as an older version of the DC Comics icon.
Uncertainty rains in the air as fans wonder if Justice League star Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the near future. Unfortunately, Henry Cavill hasn’t had the opportunity to play Superman since the Justice League movie that hit theaters in 2017 and has been the talk of the town for the past few months due to the increasing popularity of the “#ReleaseTheSnyderCut” movement. While we likely won’t be seeing Henry Cavill as Superman anytime soon, we can easily speculate when he could return to the role that brought the British actor to stardom.
Fans have been hoping to see Justice League star Henry Cavill take on the role of Superman in a live-action Kingdom Come movie, which would actually be a perfect way to introduce audiences to an older version of the character. This could also be a brilliant way to ease Henry Cavill back into the role of Superman and to even acknowledge the long wait between his last appearance in Justice League. We, however, can only speculate what’s next for Henry Cavill’s Superman, but digital artist Skull101ify knows exactly what to do with the Justice League star. The artist took to Instagram to share this cool artwork that depictsHenry Cavill aged as the Kingdom Come version of Superman. You can check out the artwork with Henry Cavill below.
The fan art depicts Henry Cavill rocking a couple of wrinkles, showing that he has aged since his appearance in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where the original image is from. As exciting as it would be to see the Justice League star Henry Cavill take on the role of an older Superman, there’s no indication as to what’s next for the British actor. As DC goes through a reshuffle to figure out what’s next, characters from the Justice League like Cyborg and Superman have been sidelined. However, not all hope is lost, as Henry Cavill has maintained that he is still interested in playing the Man of Steel again.
