Superman actor Henry Cavill opened up about his thoughts on the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

While fans eagerly await the arrival of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max next year, Henry Cavill revealed what he thinks of the movie and what he knows about the version coming to the streaming service. In Variety’s Actors on Actors issue, Cavill spoke to Patrick Stewart about the Snyder Cut and explained that he doesn’t know much about the film aside from that it’ll be “Zack’s final vision.”

“Oh the Snyder Cut, the famous-slash-infamous-slash-all-sorts-of-things Snyder Cut. I can’t really tell you anything aside from the fact that all I know is that HBO Max will be releasing it, I believe, and it’ll be Zack’s final vision for the movie, and I don’t know anything more than that.”

The British actor went on to say that he thinks it’s important f0r a director’s intended vision of a film to be shown to audiences before noting that it ‘s been an ordeal getting the Snyder Cut released. But the star clearly isn’t too disillusioned by the situation, as he said in the same interview that he’d like to play Superman for “years to come.” Henry Cavill recognized that the theatrical cut of the film wasn’t a critical success, but pointed out that it’ll be enjoyable to see the true version of Justice League.

“I’m just really happy that Zack got to realize his vision. I think it’s important for a filmmaker and a storyteller to have their intended vision released and shown to the world, and I’m looking forward to seeing it myself. It’s been quite the ordeal. With Justice League when it came, there was a mix of visions and the movie wasn’t well received. And then over the subsequent years, there was a big push to see the fabled Snyder Cut. And now that time has come, and I think it’s going to be very enjoyable to watch Zack finally release his version.”
