The film hits theaters next month!

The new international trailer for Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins starring Henry Golding has dropped.

Hot off the release of the domestic trailer last week, this new international trailer for the upcoming G.I. Joe spinoff film features footage previously unseen. We get an extended look at the chase sequence as well as a tease at the dynamic between Henry Golding’s Snake Eyes and Andrew Koji’s Storm Shadow.

The trailer also showcases more of some G.I. Joe mainstays, including Baroness (Úrsula Corberó) and Scarlett (Samara Weaving). The G.I. Joe spin-off tells the origins of the iconic ninja as he seeks revenge against the man who murdered his father and trains under a group of shadowy assassins known as the Arashikage Clan. Paramount Pictures and Hasbro had previously assembled a writer’s room led by Akiva Goldsman in the spring of 2016 to develop a cinematic universe based on the toyline properties Micronauts, Visionaries and M.A.S.K., as well as a reboot of the G.I. Joe franchise following 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013’s G.I Joe: Retaliation, which featured Ray Park in the role of Snake Eyes.

Directed by Robert Schwentke from a script written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, the film stars Henry Golding as the titular character, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais as Hard Master, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Steven Allerick as Ninja Commando and Haruka Abe as Akiko. Takehiro Hira and Steven Allerick are also on board in undisclosed roles. Here’s the synopsis:

“Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.”

Snake Eyes is currently scheduled to be released on July 23, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the future of the G.I. Joe franchise and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content.
