Yesterday star Himesh Patel has joined the ensemble cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Tenet.

The next project from acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan, titled Tenet, is shrouded in mystery, with little known about it aside from talented cast lined up for the film. Now, Variety reports Himesh Patel has landed one of the last available roles in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, though details on his character were not divulged.

Himesh Patel most recently appeared Danny Boyle’s romantic comedy Yesterday, which centers on a musician who inexplicably wakes up in a universe where The Beatles never existed and rises to fame using the band’s revered library of songs. In addition to his role in Yesterday, Himesh Patel’s credits include Eastenders, Motherland, Damned, and the upcoming miniseries The Luminaries.

Full plot details on Tenet are currently under wraps, though Warner Bros. officially describes the film as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.” Production on Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is currently underway, with filming set to take place across seven countries.

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.

Tenet is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 17, 2020.
