The title for Deadpool 3 has officially been revealed! However, it seems Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman has a better idea for the name of his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
The first official Deadpool 3 trailer dropped during last night’s Super Bowl LVIII, christening the project with the brand new name: Deadpool and Wolverine. While many love the title for the MCU’s upcoming buddy-cop comedy, it seems Hugh Jackman isn’t the biggest fan. The Wolverine actor has seemingly “fixed” the title in a new social media post, calling it “Wolverine & A–hole.”
It seems the playful marketing between Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds is already starting up. While some may lament the loss of a proper Deadpool 3, this title suggests that Wolverine will have a bigger part in the movie than many may have initially thought. With these two titans uniting for a final hoorah, it’s certain the MCU has the hit of the century with Deadpool and Wolverine!
Who else is attached to the Deadpool threequel?
Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool and Wolverine after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool and Wolverine script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
Deadpool and Wolverine is currently expected to be released on July 26, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
