Calling all Agents of SMASH! A Hulk solo film starring Mark Ruffalo for the MCU is rumored to be in development at Marvel Studios.
There’s been a lot of talk recently about the future of the MCU, with many speculating that Avengers: Secret Wars will lead to a soft reboot for the franchise, replacing much of the old guard of heroes with brand new faces. However, it seems as though one familiar face will be sticking around Marvel Studios for just a bit longer, with a new rumor suggesting Mark Ruffalo will star in a solo Hulk movie:
This isn’t the first time Mark Ruffalo has been rumored to get a Hulk solo movie, with prior rumors suggesting Captain America: Brave New World will set up an adaptation for World War Hulk in the MCU. Though given the Green Goliah’s rights may still be entangled with Universal, it’s unclear when or if Marvel Studios will have the chance to give the beloved hero his own film.
What to expect from the Captain America sequel
Captain America: Brand New World sees Antony Mackie returning to the role of Sam Wilson following the events of the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The series ended with Wilson taking up the mantle of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Julius Onah is directing Captain America: Brave New World, working from a script by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson. The cast of the movie also includes Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley and Shira Haas as Sabra, with Xosha Roquemore on board in an undisclosed role.
Captain America: Brave New World is currently slated to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
