Idris Elba becomes Daniel Craig’s James Bond successor in this new piece of fan art that imagines the Luther and The Dark Tower star as the next 007.
The 25th installment in the James Bond franchise will be Daniel Craig’s final outing as the iconic superspy. This has led to rumors about who could be replacing Daniel Craig as the next James Bond. One of the rumored contenders to succeed Daniel Craig has been none other than Idris Elba.
There have been recent rumors that Lashana Lynch is going to take over the 007 mantle from Daniel Craig’s James Bond in the yet-to-be titled Bond 25. One of the film’s writers recently played coy about that rumor too. Is it unclear who will replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, but Idris Elba could sure look great in the part based on this new artwork.
You can see Idris Elba in Hobbs and Shaw, which is currently playing in theaters and in Tom Hooper’s Cats, coming this December. Idris Elba will also star in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and is rumored to be playing Bronze Tiger in the supervillain team-up flick.

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
Filming is currently underway at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom. Additional filming locations include London, Jamaica, Italy, and Norway.
The cast of James Bond 25 includes Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, as well as franchise newcomers Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen, David Dencik and Dali Benssalah.
