Idris Elba has teased at a character reveal for his role in James Gunn’s upcoming DC superhero film, The Suicide Squad.
Last year it was revealed that Idris Elba was in talks to star in James Gunn’s upcoming DC film, The Suicide Squad. Originally the actor was set to replace Will Smith as Deadshot who was unable to return for the followup. It was eventually decided that the actor would play a new character in order to give Will Smith the opportunity to return to the role.
Since this reveal many have wondered what character Idris Elba will be playing in the film. Rumors have suggested that the actor will be playing Bronze Tiger in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad but no one has confirmed this to be the case. But it seems that we may not have to wait for this reveal much longer.
In a recent Tweet, Idris Elba teased that he just might reveal who he was playing in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad during the DC FanDome event. The director himself then commented on how many people have guessed at who he is playing:

The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto as The Joker.
