The Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie opened up about playing Harley Quinn in the upcoming movie from director James Gunn.
Many fans are hoping to get their first look at footage from The Suicide Squad at DC FanDome this weekend, and Margot Robbie herself recently took the time to explain what makes Harley Quinn so much fun in the team-up movie from James Gunn. The director previously opened up about the anti-hero’s journey in the film when a fan asked how many different costumes Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will have in The Suicide Squad.
Although fans hoping to see a relationship between Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn like in the animated series will be disappointed, as the director also debunked a rumor suggesting Pamela Isley had a role in The Suicide Squad. But in a recent promotional video on Twitter ahead of DC FanDome, Margot Robbie opened up about the impulsive character, explaining the film will show new sides to her because she’s around a new group of people.
“I always have such a ball playing Harley Quinn. Every time I’ve done it, I learn new things about her, and this movie’s no different. When Harley’s put in a different group of people, and put in a different place, you’re going to see different aspects of her personality coming out, depending on how she feels about those people or the things she’s doing. So you get to see new sides of Harley again, and she’s in a new group of people, a big group of people, and it’s insane. As always, it’s crazy fun.”
