‘The Suicide Squad’ Star Idris Elba Tests Positive For Coronavirus

The Suicide Squad star Idris Elba announced he has tested positive for coronavirus.

Warner Bros. and DC’s The Suicide Squad will unite several fan-favorites from the first film with a handful of newcomers to the DC Extended Universe. Among the cast members making their DCEU debut is Idris Elba, who has been cast in an unknown role for the James Gunn film.

Today, Idris Elba took to his official Twitter account to reveal that he has tested positive for the coronavirus and has been isolating himself since he found out about his possible exposure to the virus. In the video message, Idris Elba noted that he isn’t showing any symptoms at this time and urged fans to take the appropriate precautions to slow the spread of the coronavirus and to think of those who have been affected by the pandemic.

However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad in his upcoming movie.
