Ms. Marvel‘s first season comes to an epic conclusion this Wednesday on Disney Plus and a new teaser shows Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan suiting up for the finale.
Following the finale’s first promo, the new teaser recaps the series so far, as well as offering a few glimpses of Kamala in her full Ms. Marvel costume. The series so far has followed Kamala’s heroic origins, building to the beginning of her career as the MCU’s newest superhero.
The new promo promises an “epic finale,” teasing Kamala and Kamran fleeing their pursuers in Damage Control.
Ms. Marvel Vs. Damage Control
Along with a few clips from the series so far, reminding viewers of Kamala’s journey from ordinary schoolgirl to superhero, the new finale promo reveals Ms. Marvel in action as Damage Control close their net.
The previous episode saw Kamran gaining his mother’s superpowers, putting him on Damage Control’s radar as well as they continue to hunt down Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan. Check out the action-packed new promo below:
Ms. Marvel’s costume, which is yet to appear in the series – apart from the mask, made by Bruno – looks like it will feature heavily in the episode and not just as a last-minute reveal. The costume’s origins are not yet known, but given that Bruno gave Kamala her mask and helped her build her Captain Marvel cosplay, it seems likely he’s behind the costume as well.
Many fans are hoping the finale will see Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel enter the fray as well. While nothing in the promo gives away any potential role for Carol Danvers, Kamala will be fighting by her side in next year’s The Marvels, so a cameo from her is a possibility.
Here is the synopsis for Ms. Marvel:
Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?
The series stars Iman Vellani, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Matt Lintz, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Fawad Khan, Mehwish Hayat, and Farhan Akhtar. Episodes of the series were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, with Bisha K. Ali serving as the head writer. Marvel’s Kevin Feige is involved in the series as an executive producer.
