The upcoming Inception re-release will include footage of upcoming Warner Bros. films to get audiences excited for their upcoming slate!

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Christopher Nolan’s Tenet would be pushed back by two weeks, with an Inception re-release taking over its release date. The July 17 release date marks Inception’s tenth anniversary, which makes it the perfect film for audiences to want to revisit once theatres open up. In fact, Warner Bros. will be using Inception’s re-release to tease audiences with their upcoming slate.

A press release issued by Warner Bros. states that the Inception re-release will give audiences a sneak peek at Tenet and other projects coming from the studio.

“This special anniversary theatrical event will also give audiences a never-before-seen look at footage from Nolan’s highly anticipated film Tenet, which will debut worldwide two weeks later, on July 31. Moviegoers will also be treated to an exclusive sneak peek of select films on Warner Bros.’ upcoming slate.”

While Tenet has officially be confirmed to be part of the Inception re-release, we’ll also probably see some footage from Wonder Woman 1984, Dune, and Godzilla vs. Kong, which have been in post-production for quite some time now. It’s also safe to say that the tease will most likely end with a brief glimpse at Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. All these titles are speculated on our part but they do seem to be the perfect projects to excite hesitant cinemagoers who have been cooped up for months.

While you’re waiting for the Inception re-release, check out the official synopsis for Tenet:

“John David Washington is the new Protagonist in Christopher Nolan’s original sci-fi action spectacle “Tenet.” Armed with only one word—Tenet—and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time. Not time travel. Inversion.”

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel.
