‘Invincible’ Season 2 Trailer Officially Confirms Prime Video Return Date

Prime Video has officially confirmed the return date of Invincible Season 2 with an action-packed trailer launch. Unveiled during the San Diego Comic-Con panel, the trailer offers viewers a sneak peek into the upcoming season of the highly acclaimed animated superhero show.

The much-awaited Season 2 of Invincible is set to kick off with the release of its first four episodes on November 3, 2023. Viewers will then have to wait until early 2024 for the premiere of the second half.

Prime Video has also announced new cast members for Invincible season 2. Sterling K. Brown, Peter Cullen, Rob Delaney, Calista Flockhart, Phil LaMarr, Luke MacFarlane, Tatiana Maslany, Scott McNairy, Jay Pharoah, Ella Purnell, Tim Robinson, Ben Schwartz, Rhea Seehorn, Lea Thompson, Paul F. Tompkins, and Shantel VanSanten are all set to lend their vocal prowess to the series, marking an exciting new chapter in the Invincible saga.

Based on the popular Image Comics series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, Invincible premiered in March 2021. The series was developed for television by Simon Racioppa, who recently worked on the animated The Boys spin-off series Diabolical. It received widespread acclaim and was renewed for two more seasons ahead of its season one finale.

The cast of Invincible also includes J.K. Simmons, Sandrah Oh, Mark Hamill, Gillian Jacobs, Andrew Rannells, Zazie Beetz, Walton Goggins, Jason Mantzoukas, Mae Whitman and Malese Jow.

An official synopsis for the eight-episode first season of the Amazon Prime Video series reads as follows: “INVINCIBLE is an adult animated superhero series that revolves around 17-year-old Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), who’s just like every other guy his age — except his father is the most powerful superhero on the planet, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). But as Mark develops powers of his own, he discovers his father’s legacy may not be as heroic as it seems.”
