Jaimie Alexander volunteered Lady Sif to become the Queen to Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie in Thor: Love and Thunder.

During Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige officially announced Thor: Love and Thunder as part of the Phase 4 lineup for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tessa Thompson was among the many on stage to hint at what fans can expect from the fourth Thor film, confirming Valkyrie as the MCU’s first LGTBQ superhero by stating that the newly crowned King of Asgard’s first act would be to find a Queen.

In response, IGN published an article naming eight characters who could be the Queen to Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Jamie Alexander’s Lady Sif was listed as a possible contender. Jaimie Alexander responded to the article by retweeting it on her official Twitter account with a caption reading “raises hand,” indicating she is willing to reprise her role as Lady Sif so the heroine can become Valkyrie’s Queen.

Jamie Alexander portrayed Lady Sif in the first two Thor films and reprised the role for the guest appearance on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. during the first season. However, Jaimie Alexander was not a cast member of Thor: Ragnarok, the third chapter of the God of Thunder’s solo film series in which Tessa Thompson made her debut as Valkyrie.
