A new report claims that James Franco wants any information he gives in the case between Johnny Depp and Aquaman star Amber Heard kept private.
The current domestic violence case between Johnny Depp and Aquaman star Amber Heard reportedly involves another celebrity in James Franco. Johnny Depp’s legal team reportedly wants to ask James Franco some questions on whether Amber Heard had any visible injuries. This is all due to an alleged video of James Franco and Amber Heard seen together exiting an elevator in the same building as Johnny Depp’s penthouse, 24 hours after the alleged fight. According to Amber Heard’s lawyers, James Franco lives in the same building and happened to run into the Aquaman star on the elevator.
Due to the recent developments, James Franco has been subpoenaed by Johnny Depp’s team. Now, The Blast reports that James Franco has asked Johnny Depp’s team to leave his involvement with Aquaman star Amber Heard private if he agrees to a deposition. This is all based on a letter that The Blast has obtained. In the letter, James Franco’s attorney said the following:
“I am checking with Mr. Franco regarding his availability during the weeks of January 20 or February 10. Please let me know if any dates during those weeks do not work for you. Please also provide me with an estimate regarding the time that each side will need to question him. Prior to agreeing to appear, we request that a Protective Order re Confidentiality be entered by the Court that contains, among other provisions, the following: the transcript will not be used for any purpose other than the litigation; if any portion of the transcript is submitted to the Court, it be submitted under seal; no party can discuss the fact that Mr. Franco’s deposition is being or has been taken with any third party or anyone else including the press; no party can discuss Mr. Franco’s testimony and/or the transcript with (or show any portion of the transcript to) a third party or anyone else including the press; and if any party violates the confidentiality provisions, that party is responsible for liquidated damages (in an amount we can discuss).”
