Creature Commandos is set to be the first project set in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe. A newly revealed piece of merchandise from the animated series gives fans their first new look at the team in months.
Many fans seem to forget that James Gunn’s first project in the DC Universe isn’t Superman: Legacy, but rather Creature Commandos, an animated series set to debut on Max later in 2024. While details on the project have been kept close to the chest, DC Studios actress Sara Sampaio recently revealed merch for the project, giving fans a brand new look at the monster squad.
While the merch doesn’t reveal much about Creature Commandos, the placement of The Bride at the center of the sweatshirt seems to suggest she’ll be the figurehead for the team. This certainly comes as a surprise to fans if true, with many assuming James Gunn would make Rick Flagg Sr. the lead of the animated project. While only time will tell if this speculation holds true, it seems the DC Universe is going to be off to an interesting start!
