The Daily Planet is back in Man of Tomorrow! James Gunn shares a brand new set photo as production readies for the DC Universe sequel.
Man of Tomorrow is officially set to start filming next month. As such, fans have been eagerly awaiting for James Gunn or another DC Universe crew member to drop the first set photo from production on the sequel. And given how much the set photos revealed about Superman in hindsight, these ones will be looked at with double the scrutiny.
Yet the first set photo didn’t end up being what some were hoping for. Instead of the streets of Metropolis or the Fortress of Solitude, James Gunn shared an image from inside of the Daily Planet building, teasing it getting into ship shape ahead of filming on Man of Tomorrow. And while there’s not much to investigate with the pic, it sure does look pretty.

The Daily Planet’s Role In Man Of Tomorrow
Many thought, given the heightened stakes of Man of Tomorrow, the Daily Planet would be left on the sidelines heading into the sequel. However, it seems as though the newsroom will be playing at least a small role in the upcoming project. Albeit, it’s possible that the set is also being put back together in preparation for the upcoming Jimmy Olsen series, and James Gunn is just taking advantage of it to add a few shots outside of Lois Lane’s office.
As for what set photo could be next after the Daily Planet, the DC Universe production crew is currently preparing to film in Atlanta. This likely means that fans will be seeing a lot of the exterior shots for Man of Tomorrow sometime next month, before the production moves inside to film the sequel’s interior shots.
Man of Tomorrow flies into theaters July 9th, 2027. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe!
