James Gunn clarified that Jennifer Holland isn’t confirmed for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Recently, James Gunn confirmed that production on Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has officially wrapped. The writer and director or the entire trilogy (as well as the upcoming Holiday Special) reflected on his near decade-long journey in turning these lovable misfits into MCU icons. He shared a collection of photos featuring the cast, one of which included a photo of Gamora actress Zoe Saldana and Jennifer Holland, prompting some to believe that the Peacemaker actress has joined the film.
However, James Gunn took to his official Twitter to clarify his shared photo wasn’t a confirmation that Jennifer Holland would be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but rather that this just so happens to be a photo he wanted to share of Zoe Saldana given that in the initial photo he tweeted, she wasn’t present in it:
In the tweet acknowledged, James Gunn said that he had another picture with Zoe Saldana, but that it featured an unannounced actor that he likely won’t share for now given the desire to keep things secret for now. Given that the photo featured Jennifer Holland, some interpreted the caption to mean that the unannounced performer was her. Either way, fans can watch the actress in Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker, which are both available to stream on HBO Max.

Meanwhile, Vol. 3 is written and directed by James Gunn, the film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji.
