James Gunn has given us our first look at Nhut Le’s Judomaster for John Cena’s upcoming HBO Max series, Peacemaker.
First revealed back in September of 2020, the John Cena Peacemaker series was announced as a prequel spinoff for James Gunn’s then-upcoming film The Suicide Squad. Eventually, this was revealed to not be the case and the HBO Max series would serve as a kind of sequel to the film. The first trailer was released back in October and new details have been steadily pouring out as the release date gets closer and closer.
In a recent post, James Gunn revealed our first look at one of the series’ characters. Specifically that of Nhut Le’s Judomaster. Like Peacemaker, Judomaster is a character who was originated in Charlton Comics before being brought into the DC Universe. It is not entirely clear what version of Judomaster this character has drawn the most inspiration from. It was first revealed that Le would be portraying the character earlier this year but it is unknown how big of a role he will have in the series.
