Milly Alcock is stunning as Supergirl! James Gunn has officially revealed the first poster for the upcoming DC Universe movie.
Following the release of Superman, fans have been anxiously awaiting any details they can get about the upcoming Supergirl movie. However, James Gunn has been rather tight-lipped when it comes to releasing any details about the project. Even though Milly Alcock wrapped filming on the production some time ago, not even a single teaser image has been put out by the DC Universe team.
However, it seems that with Superman finally in the rearview, James Gunn is ready to start promotion on the DC Universe’s next film. The director posted the first official poster for the film on his Instagram, giving fans their first look at Milly Alcock as the Woman of Tomorrow. It also teases a much more rambunctious take on Supergirl, with the character drawing on the iconic House of El symbol with spray paint.
Will Fans Get A Summer Of Supergirl?
Given that James Gunn made a “Summer of Superman” to help promote the Man of Steel’s recent movie, fans have been wondering if Supergirl will be getting the same treatment. While it’s not likely Gunn will repeat the same full court press, it’s likely that the studio will put a decent amount of promotion into Milly Alcock’s first solo outing in the DC Universe to prove that Superman wasn’t a fluke at the box office.
That being said, fans shouldn’t expect much more than a poster for at least a few months. James Gunn held on tight to that first piece of Superman footage. Most likely, fans will get one more promotional image of Milly Alcock as Supergirl in the next month or two, with the teaser for the DC Universe’s next film being saved for October’s New York Comic-Con.
