James Gunn Reveals New Photo Of Milly Alcock Reading The ‘Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow’ Comic During Production

Supergirl gets studious!

Milly Alcock seems to have been turned into a true comic fan! James Gunn reveals a new photo of the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow star preparing for her DC Universe role.

It may be hard to believe, but Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is already over two months into filming. In a world absolutely plagued by leaks, to the point where James Gunn couldn’t even keep the drones off his own set with Superman, the second silver screen installment in the DC Universe has been kept (nearly) watertight. This means that fans don’t even have a glimpse at what Milly Alcock will look like as the iconic heroine.

Perhaps as an appetizer to hold over fans until tomorrow’s Cinemacon panel, James Gunn shared a brand new photo of Milly Alcock reading the original comic that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is based off. While this doesn’t give fans any new details about the DC Universe adaptations, actors reading comics to prepare for their role is almost a rite of passage for superhero media, making this a very welcome return to form for the burgeoning franchise.

Will Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow Be At Cinemacon?

With Warner Bros. Discovery’s Cinemacon panel in just over 24 hours, fans are expecting some big news to come out of the DC Universe. While it’s likely that James Gunn will show off some footage from Superman, there isn’t much more he can reveal without spoiling the film. This has led many to wonder if the panel will be home to the first look fans get at Milly Alcock’s costume in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Though Milly Alcock isn’t the only star that could be flaunted at Cinemacon. Jason Momoa is set to play Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Given he’s already one of the biggest faces in the DC Universe (and how eager he seems to be to show anyone he can what he looks like as Lobo), it wouldn’t be shocking for James Gunn to throw both him and fans a bone by debuting his design as the beloved Bastich at Cinemacon.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to release on June 26, 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
