The first set photos from the upcoming tenth installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast X, reveal Aquaman star Jason Momoa in action as the movie’s new villain.

At the start of this year, it was revealed that Jason Momoa would be joining the cast of Fast X. It has since been confirmed he will be playing one of the film’s main antagonists, working alongside Charlize Theron’s Cipher, who will return from previous installments in the Fast & Furious series. Few details are known about the character Momoa will be playing or about the plot of the film itself. However, new set photos have offered a first look at Momoa in action.

The set photos show Jason Momoa looking suitably stylish for his villainous turn in Fast X. The actor’s dressed in a snakeskin jacket, leather pants and shades with a couple of chains around his neck. He can be seen performing a motorcycle stunt for the film, riding a bike up a set of stone steps. The scene was being shot on location in Rome, Italy, and the images have been shared by Just Jared. Check them out in the tweet below:

While Momoa has mostly been seen playing heroic roles lately, as both DC’s Aquaman and Dune‘s Duncan Idaho, Fast X will give him a chance to show off his villainous side. Also joining the Fast & Furious franchise for the first time in the film is Captain Marvel star Brie Larson, while most of the previous film’s prinicpal cast are expected to reprise their roles.

Here is the official synopsis for the franchise’s latest installment, F9: The Fast Saga:

Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto is leading a quiet life off the grid with Letty and his son, little Brian, but they know that danger always lurks just over their peaceful horizon. This time, that threat will force Dom to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most. His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered: a man who also happens to be Dom’s forsaken brother, Jakob (John Cena, this year’s The Suicide Squad).

F9 sees the return of Justin Lin as director, who helmed the third, fourth, fifth and sixth chapters of the series when it transformed into a global blockbuster. The action hurtles around the globe—from London to Tokyo, from Central America to Edinburgh, and from a secret bunker in Azerbaijan to the teeming streets of Tblisi. Along the way, old friends will be resurrected, old foes will return, history will be rewritten, and the true meaning of family will be tested like never before.

Directed Justin Lin from a script written by Daniel Casey, Fast and Furious 9 stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Cardi B and Sung Kang, with Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.
