The first episode of The Flash season nine ended with a surprise appearance from Batwoman star Javicia Leslie as a new version of the DC Comics villain Red Death, who appears to be working with Captain Boomerang. A behind-the-scenes photo from the hit Arrowverse series shows Leslie wearing her comic book-accurate Red Death suit, which was not visible in the season nine premiere.

Created by Scott Synder and Greg Capullo, Red Death is a supervillain in the DC Comics universe, first appearing in The Dark Knights: Metal event. He is a twisted version of Batman from an alternate universe and is one of the many dark versions of the iconic hero from the multiverse.

The origin of Red Death can be traced back to a world where the planet was on the brink of destruction. In order to save his city, Bruce Wayne made a deal with the demon Barbatos, granting him the powers of the Speed Force. However, this came at a cost, as the demon took over Batman’s mind and body, turning him into the Red Death.

The final season of The Flash is set to bring closure to the story of one of the most iconic and beloved characters in the Arrowverse. The series, which first premiered in 2014, has been a staple of the CW network and has been widely praised for its action sequences and engaging character arcs along with its witty and heartfelt storytelling.
