Elektra could have been even better! Concept art for Deadpool and Wolverine gives Jennifer Garner a whole new look for her cameo.
After nearly 20 years, Jennifer Garner finally made her return in Elektra in Deadpool and Wolverine. While fans love the design of her cameo, it seems it was originally going to be much different. Concept art released by Marvel Studios’ senior illustrator John Staub revealed Garner originally sported a costume much more similar to her comic counterpart.
While it’s a shame that Jennifer Garner didn’t don Elektra’s iconic bandana in Deadpool and Wolverine like this concept art, most fans seem happy with how the look of her cameo turned out. Even though she hasn’t been getting as much press as some of the other surprise appearances, it’s clear that Garner was able to redeem herself in the eyes of fans following her flop of a film.
Jennifer Garner Plays Around As Elektra
It seems Jennifer Garner isn’t done having fun as Elektra just yet. The actress recently posted a new video on social media showing her playing around with the set of Deadpool and Wolverine. The video gives fans a new look at the castle of cameos, including the statue of the Scarlet Witch and a sneak peek at Gambit’s bathtub!
For as fun as Deadpool and Wolverine was for fans, it’s clear that every person that made a cameo in the film had a blast putting it together. While it’s unlikely that Jennifer Garner will ever return as Elektra, along with the rest of her motley crew of Avengers, it was good that the actress got one final victory lap to say goodbye to her iconic role.
