Jeph Loeb Says Marvel TV Is Developing Disney+ Series Separate From Marvel Studios’ Series

Marvel Executive Vice President of Television Jeph Loeb cleared up some confusion by stating that Marvel TV is developing its own Disney+ series separate from Marvel Studios.

While speaking to Deadline, Jeph Loeb talked about the upcoming Disney+ series and his connection to them. In it, the Marvel TV president made it clear that the upcoming Disney+ shows like Falcon and the Winter Soldier were under the domain of Marvel Studios and not under him. Jeph Loeb then went on to say that Marvel TV would be developing their own shows for the streaming service that would be separate from the Marvel Studios series:

“Well, first of all, I have to make something very clear, which is those are shows that are created and run and the responsibility of the motion picture studio. Secondly, Marvel Television will be doing shows with Disney+, we just haven’t announced what we’re going to do there.”

Jeph Loeb later said that they would announce the shows when they were ready. He refused to say if they would involve any of the would involve former Fox properties. But based on what Jeph Loeb is saying, they have a few Marvel TV in the works for Disney+.

The various Marvel TV shows, of course, often pay little attention to the Marvel Studios films. While crossovers are references in shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are common, very little attention has been paid them in other series under Jeph Loeb. Only time will tell if this remains true in the upcoming Disney+ shows.

What do you all make of Jeph Lobe’s comments? Are you surprised to hear that Marvel TV is separate from Marvel Studios? Should there be more collaboration between the two for Disney+? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
