Hawkeye executive producer Trinh Tran offered some new tidbits about the upcoming Marvel Studios series starring Jeremy Renner.
The next live-action series coming to Disney Plus from Marvel Studios is Hawkeye, finally giving Jeremy Renner’s archer the spotlight. Hawkeye will also feature the highly anticipated MCU debut of Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. In TV Guide’s Fall Preview, executive producer Trinh Tran first hinted at the dynamic between Kate and Clint in the series:
“Kate is looking for ways to implement those [training] skills… That’s when she runs into Clint, who has no clue who she is and doesn’t really understand her obsession for him.”
The Hawkeye series will also drop in November for a reason, joining Iron Man 3 as Christmas stories set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tran described Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye as:
“Grounded and funny, packed to the brim with Christmas spirit,”
The producer then touched on how the Marvel series will address the events of Avengers: Endgame:
“[New York City] has, in many ways, recuperated and continued thriving, but the same can’t be said for its citizens.”
Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye was last seen in Avengers: Endgame:
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers: Endgame is available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, while Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye will hit Disney Plus on November 24.
