Despite the critical failure and box office results of 2017’s DC Comics team-up movie Justice League, Lex Luthor actor Jesse Eisenberg apparently only just found out that its sequel is more than likely not happening.
Jesse Eisenberg made his debut as Lex Luthor in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and was one of the more controversial elements of the film. A year later, Jesse Eisenberg reprised the role for one of the post-credits scenes of Justice League, proposing the formation of his own league to counter the Justice League. Given the lackluster reception of the film, however, it is unlikely that we’ll see this villainous league take form. But apparently, someone forgot to tell that to Jesse Eisenberg.
According to MTV News correspondent Josh Horowitz, Jesse Eisenberg only just found out that a Justice League sequel probably isn’t happening. You can check out what the reporter had to say below:
Today I think I broke the news to Jesse Eisenberg that despite it being listed on his IMDB, Justice League part 2 probably isn’t happening.

From the look of things, Jesse Eisenberg didn’t get the memo. Eisenberg’s future as Lex Luthor is currently in question, but the actor will soon be seen in the dark comedy The Art of Self-Defense and the long-awaited Zombieland sequel Zombieland: Double Tap.
What did you think of Justice League? Does it deserve a sequel? Would you like to see Jesse Eisenberg lead the Injustice League to take on Superman and company in the DC Extended Universe? Let us know in the comments!
Jesse Eisenberg was last seen as Lex Luthor in Justice League. Here’s the official synopsis for that movie:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, Jesse Eisenberg and Ciarán Hinds.
