Could Jessica Alba be making her return as Sue Storm? The Fantastic Four star speaks on a potential appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Even though the old Fantastic Four films were far from perfect, fans have fallen in love with the First Family’s casting. This has led many to call for their return in an MCU project. One of the film’s stars, Jessica Alba, recently gave her thoughts on if she’d be open to coming back as Sue Storm.
“I loved those movies and [it] also changed my life, that series,” Alba told Entertainment Tonight. “No one has talked to me about [a return], but I would jump at the chance. I loved that character and I felt like she was so unique in the Marvel universe at the time. There weren’t kind of female superheroes like her.”
The original Fantastic Four movies came out at a time before the MCU made superheroes a mainstream interest. Jessica Alba’s Sue Storm truly was unique at the time. While there’s no guarantee that she will return to the character in the future, her enthusiasm for the role certainly is a good sign for longtime fans.
The Fantastic Four’s Future In The MCU
While Jessica Alba is musing about her return, the MCU has already found its permanent Sue Storm in the form of Vanessa Kirby. She’ll be joined by a star-studded cast in The Fantastic Four, including Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing.
Jessica Alba also isn’t the first Fantastic Four star open to an MCU reunion. Chris Evans has previously expressed interest in taking back up the mantle of Johnny Storm for one final ride. With Avengers: Secret Wars right around the corner, this may be the perfect time to reassemble one of Marvel’s most iconic casts.
Fantastic Four opens on July 25, 2025. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
