J.K. Simmons Teases Omni-Man’s Inevitable Conflict In Amazon’s ‘Invincible’

J.K. Simmons is a member of the Anti-Spoiler Police apparently...

JK Simmons Invincible Amazon Omni-Man

Invincible star JK Simmons opened up about the conflict that’s in store for Omni-Man in the upcoming Amazon series.

With the success of The Boys, and Invincible‘s imminent arrival on Amazon, the streaming service seems to be cornering the market when it comes to violent superhero stories outside of theaters. Invincible has an all-star cast featuring the likes of The Walking Dead‘s Steven Yeun, Spider-Man and Whiplash star JK Simmons and Community‘s Gillian Jacobs. JK Simmons recently spoke to us about Omni-Man and teased what fans can expect from his story.

Although he was careful not to spoil Omni-Man’s “inevitable conflict” JK Simmons told Heroic Hollywood that there’s something that lurks beneath the surface for Invincible’s father. But the actor was keen to point out that the father-son relationship is a key element to the series and will challenge both heroes throughout the impressive story.

“Well, I am always the anti-spoiler police… So as there is in any father-son relationship especially as the son is coming of age, you know there’s inevitable conflict. And as Robert [Kirkman] will continue to reveal, as hardcore fans of Invincible already know, there’s a lot that lurks beneath the surface for Nolan/Omni-Man, but really for all the characters. So that’s as vague and as veiled as I’m going to be.”
