Joker is coming back and better than ever! The newest trailer for the upcoming sequel teases a maddening wonderland with Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix.
Fans were skeptical when it was announced that Joker would be getting a sequel. The Oscar-winning film seemed to be a lightning-in-a-bottle moment for DC. However, the more that comes out about the upcoming movie, from casting Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn to Joaquin Phoenix’s victory lap as the crown prince of crime, the more fans have become excited at the prospect of a sequel.
The first trailer for the Joker follow-up wowed audiences with incredibly powerful performances by both Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. The sequel seems to be leaning even harder into the musical elements of the first film, allowing the set designers to go hog wild in their depiction of DC’s most deranged couple.

Yet it seems Joker isn’t done earning its place just yet. The second trailer for the sequel just dropped, giving fans everything they wanted and more from the project. From new looks at Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, to the growing scale of the musical numbers, this DC project is quickly becoming a must-watch this fall season.
While the trailer itself was stunning, the Joker sequel has a lot of ground to make up. While the first film crossed a billion dollars, the reunion boasts a nearly $200 million pricetag, mostly due to the stunning paydays needed to secure Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga. Given the current state of DC, fans have to hope it at least makes its money back!
