Jodie Turner-Smith is the latest star to join The Acolyte Star Wars series starring Amandla Stenberg.
The Acolyte is one of the most mysterious Star Wars projects in development at Lucasfilm. The series is being developed by Russian Doll creator Leslye Headland and will take place towards the end of the untapped High Republic era.
Always Two There Are…
At San Diego Comic-Con this year, Lucasfilm finally confirmed The Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg would lead the series, and Deadline is now reporting that Jodie Turner-Smith will also be part of the cast.
Jodie Turner-Smith is best known for her roles in Queen & Slim and Anne Boleyn, and her casting might be confirmed by Lucasfilm later this week with their upcoming D23 presentation. No details are provided on who Turner-Smith will portray in The Acolyte, but based on recent rumors regarding the show, she could be playing a character who is related to whoever Amandla Stenberg is portraying.
