John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II is on track to open with $60 million when it arrives at the end of March.
When John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place originally debuted in theaters it quickly became a hit with horror fans, ending its domestic run with $188 million. Since the first film was surprisingly popular, A Quiet Place: Part II was always going to be on the cards after the original was only made on a budget of $17 million. The footage that’s arrived so far ahead of A Quiet Place: Part II seems to maintain the same level of tension and suspense as the first film, with fans extremely excited to see what director John Krasinski has in store for the sequel.
But John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place: Part II is already tracking to beat the original’s domestic opening weekend, with $60 million compared to the $50.2 million, according to Deadline. The sequel sees the Abbott family leave the safety of their home and look to the outside world for help in surviving the threat of the terrifying extraterrestrial creatures. Hopefully, the sequel lives up to the standards set by the first film.
