More Joker Set Photos Show Off The Chaos Underground

Joker Joaquin Phoenix

New photos from DC’s Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix, give a closer look at the actor embodying the character amongst a chaotic mob of clown mask-wearing Gothamites.

The Joker, as perfectly summed up in The Dark Knight, is an agent of chaos. When thinking of Joker in the comics, TV shows, movies, or video games, he’s always the wrench thrown into the gears of morality and normality. Though some fans were trepidatious about the idea of the clown prince of crime headlining his own solo movies, the latest Joker set photos show Joaquin Phoenix perfectly embodying the DC icon.

Yesterday, set photos and video gave fans a look at the titular clown of chaos causing a big scene in a subway. If you were wondering just what was going on amidst all of the chaos in the sequence, new set photos from the set feature a much more detailed look at the angry mob of Gothamites that are seemingly fans of Joker. Check out the huge selection of revealing set photos below.

Although fans still have no context for the sequence itself, the latest photos help piece together the mystery of what’s going on in this film. The set photos feature what could be described as the scariest flash mob of all time. While Phoenix’s titular DC villain stands from afar, a mob of what appear to be his fans are attaching some man on the ground. Given his attire, he could be a politician or someone associated with Thomas Wayne’s (Brett Cullen) campaign for Mayor of Gotham.

If you’re excited for the clown prince of crime to get his own solo movie, you’ll, unfortunately, have to wait for another to see the Joker on the big screen. Don’t worry though, the film has a very fitting release date slated in early October, just in time for Halloween. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Joker as more information becomes available. What do you think is going on in the photos below?
