The Lion King Director Jon Favreau shared a new behind-the-scenes picture with Donald Glover, Seth Rogan, and Billy Eichner.
Disney’s live-action re-imagining of The Lion King follows Maleficent, Cinderella, Pete’s Dragon, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, with Dumbo, Aladdin, Mulan, and more coming soon. Favreau shared a new behind-the-scenes picture on Twitter with Glover, Rogan, and Eichner from a voice recording session for the film. You can check out the picture below:

Directed by Jon Favreau with a script from Jeff Nathanson. The film stars the star-studded voice cast of Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Kani as Rafiki, John Oliver as Zazu, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, Keegan-Michael Key as Kamari, Eric Andre as Azizi, and Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, with James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa from the original 1994 film.
Composer Hans Zimmer will also return to score with Elton John reworking his songs from the original for the upcoming film. John is also set to create a new song with Beyoncé and Tim Rice. Songs from the original film, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” “Hakuna Matata,” “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” and “Circle of Life” will also be included in the live-action film.
The Lion King opens in theaters July 19, 2019.
