The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau opened up about the episode count for the second season as well as the various runtimes of each episode.

After the news The Mandalorian season two will arrive on Disney Plus on October 30, Jon Favreau spoke to EW about what’s to come for the intergalactic bounty hunter and the Child, A.K.A. Baby Yoda. The huge feature also gave Star Wars fans their first look at the second season, showing off Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin, Gina Carano as Cara Dune and Carl Weathers as Karga. Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon was also given the spotlight, after the star had previously teased some of the “epic lightsaber action” in the second season.

But when speaking to EW, Jon Favreau confirmed The Mandalorian season two will have an eight-episode run while also revealing “There’s probably even variation [in episode lengths] this year.” It shouldn’t be too surprising since the first season also featured eight installments and had episodes lasting anywhere between 31 minutes and 48 minutes. Favreau saying there’ll be variation in episode lengths could mean fans can expect even longer adventures when The Mandalorian season two arrives at the end of October.

What do you make of Jon Favreau’s comments about the episode count in The Mandalorian season 2? are you glad some of the episodes will also be longer? Sound-off in the comments below!
