Jonah Hex Will Return For ‘Crisis On Infinite Earths’ Crossover

An old Legends of Tomorrow character will return for Crisis on Infinite Earths as disfigured cowboy Jonah Hex will return for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover.

Jonah Hex debuted in the Arroverse in the first season of Legends of Tomorrow, played by Johnathon Schaech, and has been a reoccurring character in the series ever since. According to Entertainment Weekly, Schaech will return to play the disfigured cowboy for Crisis on Infinite Earths. It is currently unknown how Jonah Hex will be involved in the upcoming crossover.

Jonah Hex is, of course, a bounty hunter who is from the old west. A Confederate veteran of the American Civil War, Jonah Hex is antihero who is recognizable for the massive scar on his face and cynical attitude. He was previously portrayed by Josh Brolin in the poorly received 2010 film Jonah Hex.

Crisis on Infinite Earths has been teased since the very first episode of The Flash, where a newspaper headline from the year 2024 revealed the Barry Allen’s fate was to disappear during a “crisis.” However, the fifth season finale of the Grant Gustin series accelerated this when the original newspaper headline changed the date of the event from 2024 to 2019. To add to this, the seventh season finale of Stephen Amell’s Arrow set up Oliver Queen’s role in the next crossover by having him join the Monitor on a mission to warn other worlds of the crisis, as part of the arrangement Oliver made in order to save the lives of both The Flash and Supergirl.

Crisis On Infinite Earths will span two quarters and consist of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman. The Arrowverse crossover will launch with three episodes in December before concluding with two additional episodes in January.

Stay tuned for the latest news on Jonah Hex and the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover on The CW!
