Earlier this month, it was revealed that Jonah Hill was in talks for a role in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, but the identity of his character remained a mystery. According to the reports, the two-time Academy Award-nominee has the choice between playing The Penguin and The Riddler.
Jonah Hill has been a popular choice among fans for The Penguin, so fans thinking that he would be cast in that role following the announcement of him being in talks for the film isn’t a surprise. Plot details for The Batman are being kept under lock and key, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman and The Penguin. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy starring Robert Pattinson.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.
