Jonathan Majors has finally confirmed that he’ll be starring as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man 3.

While it’s been an open secret for almost a year, Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has made it official that he’ll be starring as the time-traveling villain Kang in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Majors was cast in the role last September and has played coy throughout the year, playfully denying the reports. In recent months, rumors began to circulate that suggested Majors would be making his official debut as Kang the Conqueror in Loki. Majors shot those rumors down as well, leaving fans uncertain regarding the fate of the character.

Over the weekend, Jonathan Majors took a trip to Golden Apple Comics, one of the most iconic comic shops in Los Angeles. There, Majors posed with an Avengers comic which held the subtitle “Kang lives!”. If that wasn’t enough to confirm the Ant-Man 3 role, Majors signed the shop’s resident prop R2-D2 with Kang, revealing that it’s the first time he’s signed anything under his new character’s name. Major’s confirmation of the role comes at a time when many believe that he’ll be appearing in Loki as either the series’ big bad or in a short cameo. Of course, these are just rumors, but it sure is interesting timing.
