‘She-Hulk’ Star Josh Segarra Calls For A Comics-Accurate Spider-Man Cameo

The Pug actor wants one specific scene with Spider-Man!

She-Hulk Attorney at Law Spider-Man

Josh Segarra, who plays Augustus “Pug” Pugliese in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, recently revealed he wants to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man make an appearance in the Disney Plus series.

She-Hulk has included a range of MCU cameos, with Bruce Banner, Abomination and Wong all putting in appearances so far, while Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is due to star in an upcoming episode. Talking about other characters they would like to see appear, Josh Segarra and Renée Elise Goldsberry touched upon the web-slinger.

But Segarra wasn’t just asking for a Spider-Man cameo for its own sake. The She-Hulk actor has done his Marvel homework and wants to see a very particular moment from the comics recreated in the series.

Pug Meets Spider-Man

In an interview with E! Online, Josh Segarra and Renée Elise Goldsberry were asked who they would like to see cameo in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Segarra immediately singled out Spider-Man.

The actor referenced Pug’s comic-book history, noting that the character dedicated his career to defending superheroes after he was saved by Spider-Man. He then calls for either Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire to make a cameo as the wall-crawler in She-Hulk.

Josh Segarra and Renée Elise Goldberry responded to the question of She-Hulk cameos they would like to see by saying:

Segarra: “Pug in the comic book gets saved by Spider-Man, and that’s why he dedicates his life to protecting superheroes. So, I’m just wondering what Tom’s doing. If he’s busy, it’s just a day. One day, we shoot the scene. I’m just wondering what they’re– Andrew, what’s up bro?”

Goldsberry: “Tobey? Tobey?”

Segarra: “Yeah, fellas! Where we at, fellas?”

Unfortunately, as the makers of She-Hulk have previously confirmed, a Spider-Man appearance in the series is off the table due to the fact the film/TV rights to the character are held by Sony. His appearances in MCU movies have been negotiated between Marvel and Sony Pictures in a deal that tightly regulates where and when Spider-Man can appear in the MCU.
