Chris Pratt confirmed that Jurassic World 3 will begin production soon.
The Jurassic Park franchise will continue with the release of Jurassic World 3, with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas reprising their respective roles from the previous two films in the series. Scheduled to be released in theaters next summer, Jurassic World 3 will unite many of the newer cast members with the returning veterans from the first Jurassic Park film.
During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Pratt was asked about when he begins working on Jurassic World 3. While he did not reveal a precise date, Chris Pratt confirmed that the cameras will begin rolling on Jurassic World 3 very soon:
“Very soon. I’m in it! Yeah, we’re gearing up. We’re getting ready to go here very quickly.”
Of course, pretending to run away from dinosaurs requires some degree of physical fitness and Chris Pratt commented on how he prepares for his role in the Jurassic World films:
“You starve. Yeah, yeah, I have to starve. […] I have to put myself on a really strict code because I’m forty now. So, if I eat like, I don’t know, a Starburst, I gain like 15 pounds.”
When Jimmy Kimmel suggested the Jurassic World 3 filmmakers simply use CGI to improve his physique, Chris Pratt replied, “you just cost Universal a lot of money.”
Directed by Colin Trevorrow from a script he co-wrote with Emily Carmichael, Jurassic World 3 stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, and Omar Sy.
