New ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ Trailer Reveals Blue’s Raptor Child

There's a new velociraptor on the scene.

Jurassic World Dominion

A new trailer for Jurassic World Dominion offers a new look at Chris Pratt’s Owen, the returning Jurassic Park cast members and confirms a plot involving the child of Blue the velociraptor.

Jurassic World Dominion‘s second trailer opens with Christ Pratt’s Owen Grady and Isabella Sermon’s Maisie Lockwood. Maisie was introduced in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and is the Jurassic franchise’s first human clone, created via the same process as the dinosaurs in the parks. Blue appears to Owen, Maisie and Bryce Dallas-Howard’s Claire Dearing, bringing a younger velociraptor with her. “Blue had a baby? That’s impossible,” says Maisie.

The trailer then shows Blue’s child being captured by poachers, setting up a plot that will see Owen trying to rescue the young velociraptor. Some new footage of the original Jurassic Park cast members – Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum – follows and there’s a look at the franchise’s first feathered raptor (an appearance that more closely resembles what real velociraptors would have looked like). The new trailer concludes with the film’s assembled human protagonists facing off against “the biggest carnivore the world has ever seen.” Check out the trailer below:

There’s plenty for Jurassic World fans to unpack here and they will surely be pleased to see it looks like the returning cast members will be heavily featured in the film and are not just back for glorified cameos.

Here is the synopsis for the film:

This summer, experience the epic conclusion to the Jurassic era as two generations unite for the first time. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Oscar®-winner Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill in Jurassic World Dominion, a bold, timely and breathtaking new adventure that spans the globe. From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow, Dominion takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures. Jurassic World Dominion, from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, propels the more than $5 billion franchise into daring, uncharted territory, featuring never-seen dinosaurs, breakneck action and astonishing new visual effects.

Directed by Colin Trevorrow from a script he co-wrote with Emily Carmichael, the film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Mamadou Athie, Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman, Daniella Pineda, Campbell Scott, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, DeWanda Wise, and BD Wong.

The film opens in theaters on June 10, 2022. Be sure to continue following Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on the film, as well as the future of the Jurassic Park franchise, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more original video content.
